A company’s website can provide that all important first impression but the team at Diprose Miller Ltd realised their ‘shop window’ wasn’t doing their business any favours.
“The maintenance of our website wasn’t structured in any way and delegation of the upkeep of the material on the site lapsed with staff changes and abilities,” admits Nigel McWilliam. “As a firm, we use the latest in modern technologies and practices but neither our website nor our advertising reflected this.”
The accountancy firm didn’t have any marketing or graphic design service and used their in-house resources, relying on ad hoc preparation of articles and logo presentation through various media outlets.
“Much of our marketing material was outdated and the directors were embarrassed by its content, instead using their own sales folder with a loose array of material,” Nigel says.
When Diprose Miller Ltd underwent a period of change – practice merger, new staff and new clients, and expanded premises – it was an opportune time for their marketing collateral to undergo a transformation.
HGB were employed to refresh the company’s logo, update the website, compile new staff photos, design a professional suite of marketing material, overhaul all stationary, and remodel newspaper advertisements and editorials.
“We didn’t have the time to apply ourselves to marketing so we made the decision to invest a significant resource into a complete marketing refresh and this had to be outsourced to experts.
“We were recommended HGB by a firm who had used them in the past and were very impressed with the high level of service and quality of material and concepts presented by them.”
Diprose Miller Ltd now have a bright, fresh new profile staff are proud of.
“An example is our new staff jackets, complete with new logo, are very keenly sought after by staff. Local sports teams we sponsor have commented on how sharp their new team jackets look – we even have tea cups with our new logo on it!”
The new branding and website also reflects the firm’s modern accounting approach which has resulted in new client enquiries together with enquiries from new staff talent wishing to work with this progressive practice.
“We had never outsourced our marketing before so were really testing the waters but the key elements of listening to a client’s requirements and then delivering in an agreed timeframe were exceeded by HGB,” says Nigel. “The concepts presented were always impressive and effectively got the green light straight away with very little input from ourselves.
