Helen is the mastermind behind HGB’s web development team. From complex back-end development to clean, crisp interfaces, Helen produces sites that don’t just look good – they’re powerful, interactive, responsive and both customer and client friendly. In other words, they’re the type of websites that every good business and organisation needs.
Helen is a former karate champ and still loves to keep active by going to the gym and playing football. When she isn’t working out you can find her engaging in her love for arts and crafts.
Sarah’s an accomplished ’suit’, having spent the past 11-years working as an Account Director here in the Waikato. She’s been responsible for a multitude of local and national clients – from SKYCITY to Super Rugby, Fieldays to Forlongs, and everything in between.
Sarah is renowned for being a dotter of ‘i’s’ and a crosser of ‘t’s’ and it’s this attention to detail she brings to HGB clients. She believes the devil is in this detail and that’s what sets great brands part.
A keen sports fan, when Sarah’s not in the office she can be found mountain biking or playing touch rugby. She’s also a dab hand at cracking bad jokes – so be warned!
Also known as Wonder Woman, Mel ensures all systems are go at HGB. From invoicing to stationary orders, maintaining databases to watering the office plants, Mel is the office’s multi-tasking magician. She also provides vital support to HGB’s management team, co-ordinating projects and managing workflow.
A Waikato mum of two boys, Mel has years of experience in payroll, finance, business management and accounting positions, having worked in industries as diverse as real estate and engineering. When she’s not keeping the HGB team in check, Mel loves spending time with her family and, when occasion permits, sampling new food and wine with girlfriends.
A specialist in multimedia, Aaron is the rock behind HGB’s web development team. From CSS problem solving to training clients to use the back-end of a website, Aaron is your man that will ensure you get the most out of your website and you can operate it like a professional. Aaron has a lot of experience and also holds a certificate in Advanced Multimedia from Carich Computer Training Institute.
Outside of the office, Aaron can be found taking part in the ancient Japanese art form of Bonsai or attempting to beat his high scores on his beloved PlayStation 4.
Katrina lives and breathes design. Whether it’s creating a new client logo, a business brochure, an advert or a web banner, Katrina’s eye for detail ensures the end product has visual impact.
Cambridge born and bred, Katrina began her design career with a Bachelor of Media Arts at Wintec. She’s since spent almost two decades working in the design and print industry for companies on both sides of the globe, including The New Zealand Printing Company in Hamilton and Service Graphics in the UK.
A self-confessed Pinterest addict, Katrina combines her passion for graphic design with her creative skill and expertise, to interpret concepts and deliver innovative artwork to HGB’s clients.
For Caz, a brand is more than a simple graphic device. It brings meaning and relevance to the product. Achieving this for clients is what Cassandra thrives on – and excels at. An experienced graphic designer, Caz has worked in the creative sector for almost 15 years on big name clients including 42 Below Vodka, Environment Waikato, Mystery Creek, Waikato Chamber of Commerce, Les Mills, Trek N Travel and Kathmandu.
A keen roller derby player and water sports fanatic, Caz is responsible for designing and producing marketing communications material for HGB clients. Adding her flair to each project, Caz develops unique creative solutions that enables a brand to make its mark.
An accomplished journalist and sub-editor, PR and communications executive and content creator, Ann has worked with words for more than a decade both in New Zealand and overseas. Beginning her career in her hometown of Hamilton as an education reporter for the Waikato Times, she then worked at the University of Waikato before buying a one-way ticket to the UK.
Ann has experienced first-hand the change in the media industry and developed an expertise in the areas of branded content, website copy and donor messaging for both online and offline channels. Having travelled to more countries than she’s had birthdays, Ann creates content for clients that talks to customers and gets results.
Maria’s energy knows no bounds. Fresh out of the University of Waikato having studied a Bachelor of Management Studies majoring in marketing and public relations, Maria has quickly become integral to the day-to-day operations at HGB. Her enthusiasm for the industry has also seen her take on HGB’s social media accounts and that of our clients. Originally from Northland, Maria has made the Waikato her home, gaining work experience at Northern Districts Cricket Association, Waikato Rugby Union and Waikato Students’ Union. Outside of the office, Maria can be found behind a camera, engaging in her love of photography, playing netball and cricket, or at live sporting events.
When she’s not working out at CrossFit, Jacqui can be found heading up strategy at HGB. A former marketing and communications manager, Jacqui has over 10 years’ experience in marketing and sponsorship consulting, having worked for Hamilton organisations including University of Waikato, U Leisure, and Coombes Johnston BMW.
After running her own business for five years, Jacqui saw an opportunity for an experiential marketing consultancy and so HGB was born. Together with Kylie Harcourt, Jacqui offers businesses, charities and athletes branding, fundraising and strategic advice. She specialises in innovative strategies and campaigns that bring her clients exceptional results.
Kylie is an award-winning designer turned marketing and fundraising extraordinaire. Having travelled and worked for many years in Tauranga, Auckland, Cairns, the Australian Outback, Taupo and now as a director of HGB in Hamilton, Kylie drives the agency’s delivery of outstanding, creative campaigns.
Kylie has 10 years of advertising agency experience, having previously worked as an Account Director for The Ballantyne Agency. And, with a further 10 years in the not-for-profit sector as the Marketing and Fundraising Manager for Philips Search & Rescue Trust, developing and managing an extensive sponsor and donor portfolio, Kylie knows how to extract maximum potential for each client.
